I absolutely LOVE your classroom design and color scheme! How can the kids not love it?!?!
Inspired by you I started going through my filing cabinets a few weeks ago and threw out papers I no longer needed and binded together ones I did want to keep. It turned out to be a huge task and I put it aside for now to work on over the summer. I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE my blog design!!! You are the most talented designer in the blog sphere and I make sure EVERYONE knows it! You are the BEST to work with!!!!
Thanks for the shout out friend πŸ™‚ I'll def. be joining the linky this week!

I'd love to hear more about how you're organizing your classroom library. That's on my list for the summer to!

  14. Emily says:

I wish we had access to the classroom over summer, instead I can only haul a limited amount of stuff home. I want to tackle my files, my cupboards, and my classroom library. Somehow I'll have to do it in the next couple of weeks or wait till the new school year. Next year I also want to redo my walls like yours.

I bring my files home in plastic file crates. I just empty the filing cabinet and bring the contents home. I set up on my patio with a table, trash can, and ice cold soda or coffee and look at each folder. I usually toss extra stuff away. It is bulky and I know I will be adding new activities and assignments. I also use new folders that are sturdy. Lately, I am filing according to grading periods and common core standards. It is a work in progress but the system has worked for me. I don't feel so overwhelmed during the school year.
      Good luck,

Okay ladies… I love checking out teacher blogs, I am totally addicted to pinterest. The next leap for me is "How do I create my own teacher blog?" The purpose is for sharing with the professional community and not parents per se…. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
